With growing demand from the markets Flamingo Pharmaceuticals Limited, constructed a new state of the art facility for oral solid dosage forms (Tablets/Capsules) at Taloja Industrial Area in New Mumbai , India.

The site is about 50 km from Mumbai, on the main MIDC road. Being located in a developed industrial area, latest infrastructure facilities are available at the site including emergency services and skilled man-power and emerging services.

The company made an investment of about 6 mio. USD for this prestigious project. To make it a MHRA compliant facility, the company hired the services of M/s. Bovis Tenvac Ltd., England, an internationally reputed consultation firm. M/s. Bovis Tenvac Ltd. was associated with this project till the commencement of commercial production.

Some of the unique features of this new factory are:

Unidirectional flow of materials inside the plant
Adopts shell like containment control concept
Appropriate gowning and change rooms
All equipments are from internationally reputed manufacturers with excellent technical background
Automated and semi-automated manufacturing operations starting from manufacturing to packing
Major equipments/ instruments are equipped with PLC system/s
Separate Air Handling Units (AHU) for each operation/s through HEPA with temperature & humidity control maintained by BMS
Pressure gradients are maintained to avoid cross-contamination
Effective dust extraction systems to arrest dust at the generation point. The air from dust extraction system is suitably treated before release into atmosphere
Epoxy coving at all joints on shop floor
CETP Taloja, membership/approval for effluent treatment plant

This plant received UK MHRA approval in March 2005 and commenced dispatches to Europe in July 2005.

Our manufacturing activity has entered into an exciting phase, with the commissioning of this new world class plant at Taloja in Navi Mumbai, India.
